CCEyes – A data-sharing platform fostering cross-sector partnerships in the CCI

To embark onto the rapidly evolving digital transformation, micro, small and medium players of the Cultural and Creative Industry Sectors (CCIS) need to be able to adopt data-driven intelligent technologies. The CCEyes platform presented here fosters cross-sector data sharing to create large data pool to train these technologies for their specific use and innovative collaborations and partnerships across CCI sectors.

White Paper – Recommendations on Innovative Business Models across CCI sectors focusing on cross-sector collaboration

The European CCI landscape is vulnerable largely due to its fragmentation both in terms of different cultural environments and a large number of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Two strategies would empower the European CCI to better compete with the pervasive non-European big players: one is to turn the fragmentation into an asset by engaging in cross-sectoral and transnational collaborations and partnerships which data-sharing platforms could significantly sustain, the other is to provide MSMEs with tools to facilitate their use of intelligent analytical tools through data-sharing and the aggregation of large pools of sound data to train these technologies. The White Paper provides the compelling rationale behind a list of recommendations for both policymakers and operatives in the CCI.

“The Konzerthaus Berlin has been experimenting for years and very successfully with digital and virtual formats on innovative music projects. CCI Thrive is taking a similar approach to cross-sectoral collaborations, exploring the potential of smart technologies for new business models and cultural productions.”
